Gollyfest is a two day convention that includes presentations, workshops, an auction, a sale, competitions, a banquet, a brunch, a tea, convention souvenirs, plus the chance to meet other golly collectors.

        The first Gollyfest was held in Toledo, Ohio in 1997 and the last Gollyfest was held in Portland, Oregon on October 13-14, 2007.  The next Gollyfest will be in SanFrancisco, California on September 19-20, 2009 and the theme will be "The Golliwogg's Airship".  Gollyfests have been based on themes from the original Florence Upton series of books which were first published in 1895.
